Bertha Ramirez is a girl of 18 who has a great desire to succeed and learn the English language. She had difficulties paying for a technical school that lets her learn the language and develop the ability to speak fluently in order to exit the labor market. She now has the support and opportunity to attend one of the best colleges to study the English language and now has much encouragement to succeed and is performing as one of the best students in school. She now has goals to be self-sufficient and able to help others. Currently she has a part-time job within the same school and her studies have begin to generate income. She has a goal to be self sufficient and has learned the habit of saving. She says "It feels good that I am already speaking a second language".
